On Saturday, June 28th, Arizona VOSH, in collaboration with the AZCOPT Student VOSH and Fellowship of Christian Optometrists groups, participated in a health fair sponsored by the Dr. Alex Kim Foundation. The event, which also included other types of healthcare, was held at Church of God for the Nations near downtown Phoenix. Two OD’s and 6 AZCOPT students participated. Over 60 patients were seen, and free glasses were ordered for 44 patients who needed vision correction. Another 7 patients were referred out for further care of ocular conditions discovered during the examinations. We hope to be able to continue our collaboration with the Dr. Alex Kim Foundation in future health-related events.
